Derek
and Tina Gaskins have 14 years of experience promoting events. They
have produced a myriad of functions including music concerts, professional
seminars & banquets, comedy shows, and business panels. Their
social events consisted of Jazz festivals and R&B/Hip-Hop concerts.
Their professional events included the business conferences at J.L.
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, The
Award Banquets for Freedom Youth Academy, and corporate events for Procter
& Gamble. Before relocating to Pennsylvania, their events
were coordinated in Washington, DC, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Chicago.
Derek
is the founder and Chairman of Gaskins Productions.
Tina is the President and Executive Director of Gaskins Productions. Tina manages the operations of the organization full time. She is a graduate of Harold Washington College with a degree in Communications. She has prior experience as a Leasing Manager with Charles E. Smith Property Management in Washington, DC. Before that, she was an administrative assistant at Murphy Jahn Architects in Chicago, and a sales associate at Neiman Marcus on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Tina brings a wealth of experience in planning and producing events. She also has a keen fashion sense, and recently started the Glamour Life Fashion label. contact: tina@glamourlife.com Collie D.Collie is the Vice President of Promotions & Operations. Collie is a St. Louisian and a mathematician through the University of Iowa with extensive experience in the field of Entertainment, Recreation & Hospitality services. With over 6 years performance experience, Collie recently professionally sang bass for Pieces of 8, a nationally touring and recording a cappella octet that was managed by International Creative Management (ICM) of New York, NY. Collies experience in Recreation & Hospitality services stems to over 13 years. He has steward his way through these fields to the capacities of general manager and operational director. In these capacities, he has developed, implemented and maintained $1 million budgets for all operational and administrative cost centers for independent full service casual dining restaurants. D. Gaulding is the VP of Midwest, Director of Operations.
Todd comes to the Glamour Life Family from Nashville,TN by way of his
hometown of Dayton, Ohio. He obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from
Tennessee State University. Contrary to the technical background Todd
possess, he's a trendsetter in this ever evolving world of Entertainment,
Fashion, & Culture, which gives him a logical yet spicy approach
to making events a success. Todd ran and operated his own Entertainment
firm while in college, promoting parties and concerts as a hobby. Also
being a personal trainer as well as a systems analyst secure his desires
for excellence within every endeavor. Maintaining connections in every
major metropolitan hot spot in the U.S., Todd will definitely help enhance,
expand and further secure Gaskins Productions/GlamourLife Inc's vision
for Jason Buckner is the Vice President, Southern Region. Jason is a Graduate of Indiana University. Before coming to U of L, Buckner worked for Philip Morris. He currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Cardinal Athletic Fund (CAF) at the University of Louisville. Buckner is also active in the community. "I am a member of 100 Black Men of America and 100 Black Men of Louisville, which mentors college and high school students." He is also social chair of Louisville Urban League of Professionals. He is an entrepreneur that has several patents and trademarks for inventions. His flair for Kreativity is a strong asset. he is a graduate of Edinboro University, and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. As a native of Pennsylvania, he is well connected and wields tremendous influence throughout the Northeast corridor. Anthony "Gip" Palm hails from Gary, IN and has a long track record of promoting events in Chicago, Gary, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Lexington. Gip has been in the promotions business for over 6 years. He is a graduate and former starring guard of Western Kentucky University . He has proven himself to be an entrepreneur and very influential promoter in the areas entertainment sector. Rich has worked closely with Derek and Tina over the last 8 years on various events lending his distinctive creativity to the idea development and implementation of several promotions. Rich is currently seeking a degree in film at renowned Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois where he presently resides. He has worked the last 8 years at various clubs and hotspots in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Chicago. His experience in the nightlife and hospitality industry is extensive. Further, his eclectic background has seen him living in some of the most progressive communities in the United States Florida, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago, New York/New Jersey, and the Southwest to name a few. A gifted writer (screen, song, and poetry), Rich has in development some of the most innovative projects ever seen on any medium. Born in Minneapolis, MN, Kai is an accomplished musician who has been playing the piano for over 20 years. He has a diverse musical background with foundations in classical piano and Jazz. He has studied classical piano for 6 years at the collegiate level and started playing jazz in high school. His style reflects this background as well as his keen ear for Funk, R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Soul. Kai is not only an accomplished musician, but he is also an adept composer, arranger, producer, and performer; a true virtuoso with enormous talent. He's entered and won numerous competitions across the country from Massachusetts to Minneapolis and many points in between. Kai draws musical inspiration from the following sources Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Red Garland, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, James Brown, Shuggie Otis, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Marvin Gaye to name a few. Personal friends include Cindy Blackman, (Lenny Kravitz's drummer), Tommy B and Michael B. of the NPG, Chris Robinson of the Black Crows, and Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish. Now he's venturing back to his Midwest roots with live performances.
